When asked about long term goals, Anatina Toys´ CEO, Alfredo Troche, responded; “The vision that Anatina Toys has, which has taken shape over the past several years, is to consolidate a sustainable organization where micro and small toy manufacturers and private companies are capable of forming a competitive company with high social impact.  Our goal is to generate employment and produce high quality toys with participation in internationally developed markets such as the United States, Canada and Europe.”

These toys have a high degree of playability that stimulate a child’s curiosity, motivate their creativity, and engage them to play in different ways, numerous times and for extended periods. Each of the toys offered has been designed with creativity and responsibility in mind by a team including a child psychologist and toy designer complemented by a multidisciplinary quality and control group.

The toys are made from wood that is FSC Certified, fabric that is recycled and with paint that is non-toxic. The stringent quality control ensures that none of the toys have sharp edges that may harm a child. There are no small pieces that a child may swallow or choke on. In addition, all finishes and coatings use non-toxic water based paint that do not contain lead or other harmful chemicals. Finally, the glues used to secure all toy parts are also non-toxic.

Anatina Toys works with Bolivian independent artisans to provide affordable supplies and materials, ensuring that the workshops are able to make a cost effective product while still turning a profit to help support their families. The local craftsmen and women get thorough and appropriate training in toy manufacturing techniques and entrepreneurial thinking, which aims to help them to improve their business and product quality.
When considering the challenge of adequate inventory for the US Market, Alfredo Troche, CEO has this thought; “We have noticed that it’s very complicated and it would be wrong to compete in massive traditional channels through distributors and wholesalers. Thus, our focus is reaching the final consumer directly through specialized channels, such as retailers or specialty stores that sell toys with similar features and philosophy.”
Ingrid Terrazas, Marketing Communication Director adds, “Anatina toys are high quality products with competitive prices that meet the certifications required by international markets, while still being a product made by hand with fine materials. Also, our interest is to reach consumers who value a product that not only amuses and entertains children but also delivers a message about products with a high social impact.”
